Llanerchaeron, part of the National Trust, is just a 40 minute drive from Dolgoch Mill Cottages and has lots to offer. There is an entrance fee for non National Trust members but you get access to an elegant Georgian villa, set in the wooded Aeron valley, a walled garden, lake, farm building, farm equipment, walks and more.
The Georgian villa is presented as it was 200 years ago so you get a real flavour off life as it used to be. Next to the car park are a cafe and shop near lovely wooded walks. On the other side of the villa which is across the road there are open fields that you can walk across to find the path of an old railway line.
The coastal town of Aberaeron, just three miles away, has plenty of restaurants, pubs and other attractions.
Check out the Llanerchaeron website for more details and upcoming events.
