The Witches Cauldron is just a 45 minute drive away from Dolgoch Mill Cottages.

The ‘cauldron’ is actually a collapsed sea cave that has sheer drops down to a natural rock bowl. When the tide is high enough to be in the cauldron the water can appear green, though to see the intense colour you may note in other people’s photos you really need to be in the water and the only way to get into the cauldron is by kayak through a sea cave.

Nevertheless, it is worth a short walk to see the cauldron itself and can be combined with other activities in the Cardigan area. We walked the coast path from nearby Ceibwr Bay – about one and a half miles there and back along a particularly remote and wild stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. There are a few steep ascents so make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear and stick to the path.

You may be lucky enough to see seals in the sea and a pair of binoculars will offer a really close up view.

Address and Postcode: Park near Ceibwr Bay SA43 3BX and walk south west on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
