“Cottage was very clean, warm and comfortable. Owners lived on site and were very friendly and helpful. Good position to explore this part of Wales.”

Mrs Gooch, UK, Waterwheel Cottage

“Sam and Don were wonderful hosts. The cottage was spotless and the whole Covid situation was taken very seriously. We had the best holiday. The location of the cottage is perfect, peaceful and relaxing, yet close to a small village housing 2 pubs and a convenience store. There is a lot to explore away from the cottage, places we visited included, Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, National Botanical Gardens of Wales, Freshwater West, Tenby and Newcastle Emlyn. It was lovely to return to the cottage and relax in the garden with a glass of wine or a gin :)”

Mrs Sagar, UK, Weavers Cottage

“Sam and Don were incredibly welcoming and friendly from the start. The cottage is located in a quiet village with the brook running past and fields to the back. The welcome pack was a lovely touch with local produce that we enjoyed. The cottage was immaculate with everything we would need for a week away, and many utensils that aren’t found in other self catering cottages. Drefelin is an excellent and central location for exploring mid Wales with beautiful coast, lovely scenery and towns to visit all within an easy drive. If you don’t want to drive, there are also walks directly for the cottage. Would definitely stay here again if we visit the area.”

Mrs Johnston, Leicester, Weavers Cottage

“The cottage was spotlessly clean. We were left a lovely welcome pack of essentials. The owners were on site and were very welcoming. The cottage was situated so we could explore lots of areas of the Welsh coastline. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.”

Mrs Mcenery, Hereford, Weavers Cottage

“Weaver’s Cottage was cosy and welcoming. It was spotlessly clean and the owners very friendly and helpful. The village is pleasant and the nearest pub “The Gwas” is brilliant for a cider, chat and simple meal. Lots of great beaches within 40mins and plenty of restaurants and gastro-pubs. Cardigan is good for food too. We had a very relaxing holiday and slept peacefully from the first night.”

Mr Lacy, Cambridge, Spinners Cottage

Mrs Mclaughlan, Yorkshire, Waterwheel Cottage

“We have stayed at Waterwheel Cottage 3 times and certainly would not hesitate to stay again. Everything you need is in the cottage and the hosts would not hesitate to oblige if there is something you require. Lovely setting, nice and peaceful yet within easy reach of activities, towns and paths to explore.”

Mrs Marinkovic, Shropshire, Spinners Cottage

“Arrived to a lovely, warm welcome from the owners, Sam and Don, who live on site. The cottage was beautiful, furnished to a very high standard and with every need catered for. Super welcome pack provided and the bottle of wine was most appreciated! Spinners cottage is in an idyllic spot and well placed for exploring this lovely part of Wales. So enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it whole-heartedly. We shall certainly return!”

Mr Hughes, UK, Spinners Cottage

“A lovely quiet easter holiday with exceptional weather for the time of year. This was a lovely cottage with great owners who made the stay even more perfect than it already was. The cottage is part of an old mill and is next to a small stream. Located in a small friendly hamlet. Easy to find and yet off the beaten track enabling quiet and peaceful relaxation. Although there are many places to visit nearby we just stayed in the garden and ventured on the many walks in this lovely wooded valley. We will be back for more next time.”

Miss Burton, UK, Spinners Cottage

“Lovely hosts, clean and comfortable the property had everything we needed for our stay, the welcome pack contained delicious food items would definately recommend the corn bread, we had lovely weather for April, but still made use of the wood burner in the evenings, we enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the wildlife especially the kites, very peaceful, had lovely days at the seaside and exploring the preselli hills where the Bluestones were quarried and taken to stonehenge, thankyou for a lovely holiday.”

Mrs Carter, West Midlands, Spinners Cottage

“Spinners Cottage is a lovely old building but it is furnished to a very high standard. Sam and Don were wonderful, warm hosts and it was lovely to chat with them. They left a very generous welcome pack which resulted in us hunting down the shop used and eating far too much gorgeous bread, creamy butter and Welsh cakes than was probably good for us.”

Mr Bouten, Netherlands, Spinnes Cottage

“We arrived late on a Saturday night, so we were very happy with the complimentary groceries in the cottage from the owners Don and Samantha. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 2 children and had a wonderfull time. The cottage, the garden and the surroundings were fantastic. The location is great for making lots of daytrips, but also to relax in the garden or make a walk in the area. People there are very friendly and helpfull. As we had some trouble with our car Don picked us from the garage and brought us back there as soon as the car was repaired, super service! Due to the long drive back, we left early at 6 AM and they surprised us by waving us goodbye. Our vacation was special thanks to all the effords they made. We would highly recommend a stay and we surely will visit again in the future.”

Mrs Fagg, Dorset, Spinners Cottage

“The owners, Samantha & Don, were so very welcoming & helpful, without being intrusive. They seemed to have thought of everything regarding the cottage & the setting is beautiful & peaceful, so outside seating provided excellent opportunity for relaxation. Our stay was short , but could not have been better for our purpose !!”

Miss Simmons, Swansea, Weavers Cottage

“Very warm and friendly welcome from Sam – the welcome package was a lovely surprise and went above and beyond what you could normally hope for (the corn bread and welsh cakes were particularly good). The cottages were in a very quiet setting, peaceful and tranquil with a stream running by, and lots of wildlife to enjoy. Even though my friend and I were without transport, getting about was not a problem, and the walk to the village of Drefach Velindre for the amenities was pleasant – though the pub opening times were different, but that is because I come from a town where they are open all day (and night!)”

Ms Pelopida, UK, Waterwheel Cottage

“We had a lovely holiday at Spinners Cottage, Sam and Don were very welcoming. We even had a welcome pack of basic essentials for us. It is a great relaxing base to go exploring. I could not fault anything in the cottage at all. Everyone was very friendly when we went on our little walks around the village”

Mrs Teale, Carmarthenshire, Waterwheel Cottage

“We had a lovely time at Waterwheel cottage..very clean, warm and comfortable, everything you could possibly need…A friendly welcome from the owner who also supplied a food pack of goodies including Welsh cakes. Thanks for a great time”

Mrs King, Bedford, Waterwheel Cottage

“The owners made us feel very welcome. Would definitely book again with them.”

Mrs Phillips, UK, Spinners Cottage

“We had a wonderful week at Spinners Cottage. The owners (who live on site) made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful if we had any questions during our stay. Cottage was gorgeous and super clean, and the surrounding area is just breath-taking. We have two small children who also loved their stay, and we found the cottage very child-friendly, though it would be just as lovely for couples without children. We hope to come back soon and would recommend to anyone wishing to explore this beautiful part of Wales.”
