Dinas Head is one of our favorite circular coast walks and is just 45 minutes away from Dolgoch Mill Cottages.

Starting the walk in the west of Dinas Head from the car park next to The Old Sailor pub the route offers a wonderful mix of views including rugged coastline, idyllic bays, rocky outcrops, pasture and far off hills. Depending on the time of year wildlife includes dolphins, seals, jelly fish and various birds.

We allow at least a couple of hours to give time for stops to actually take in the surroundings. Most of the walk is on the coast until you reach Cwm-yr-Eglwys in the east of Dinas Head, a great place to stop and sit for awhile with an ice cream. It’s then a very easy straight and level ten minute walk across country back to the starting point… and the very handy Old Sailor pub that serves food. Eating outside with a cool drink after the walk makes the experience even more special!
